Onboarding a New Moderator for Rizzaster

We met today to onboard our newest moderator, Alex. Alex has a keen interest in the gaming community and a desire to contribute positively to the Rizzaster server. We discussed several key points to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

First, we went over the existing moderation guidelines and policies. Alex was briefed on our rules, including content moderation, handling complaints, and ensuring a safe environment for all players. We emphasized the importance of consistent enforcement and the use of discretion in applying the rules.

Next, we discussed communication and coordination. Alex will primarily communicate with the existing moderators via our internal Slack channel. We agreed to set up a schedule for regular check-ins and to create a dedicated document for frequently asked questions and recent rule updates.

We also opened the floor for any questions Alex might have, and discussed open issues currently facing the server. Alex expressed concern about balancing new players and experienced players, and we agreed to provide specific training on this topic. Additionally, we talked about the need for Alex to familiarize themselves with our server software, including chat management and report systems.
