Today we discussed the importance of backing up the world files for Rizzaster to ensure the game remains stable and fun for our community. We agreed that the backup process should be automated to run every Friday night at 10 PM. This will ensure we have a reliable backup system in place, reducing the risk of data loss due to unforeseen issues.
One of the open questions is how often we should perform manual backups. Some members suggested that in addition to the automated backups, we should make manual backups on a monthly basis and after any significant updates or events that could affect the game world. We will need to decide on a more precise schedule for these manual backups during our next meeting.
We also discussed the need for clear documentation of our backup procedures. This will help new moderators understand the steps involved and ensure consistency in our backup practices. We will schedule a dedicated meeting to draft and review this documentation in the coming week.
