We discussed the importance of resetting the weekly leaderboard to ensure a fair and engaging experience for all players. We decided that the reset will occur at the end of every Sunday night at 10 PM, ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to compete over the upcoming week. This time was chosen to be consistent with most players' schedules, allowing them to strategize and prepare for the next round.
One of the key decisions was to introduce a new feature: a "Top Performer of the Week" award for the player who showed the most improvement from the previous week. This will encourage continuous engagement and provide recognition for players who might not always win but are making steady progress. We also agreed to gather more feedback from the players on how to make the leaderboard system even more fun and interactive.
We have a couple of open questions that need further discussion. First, we need to decide how to handle ties in the leaderboard. Should we break ties by the player's rank from the previous week, or is there a different criterion that might be more fair? Additionally, how can we better communicate the changes and the new award to the players to ensure they are aware and excited for the next reset?
