Last weekend, we experienced an unexpected issue with the weekly leaderboard reset on Rizzaster. The leaderboard failed to reset as scheduled for the first time in the past month. Typically, this would happen at 3 AM on Sundays, but this time, the system did not automatically initiate the reset until 5 AM. The delay caused some confusion among the community, as players noticed their weekly achievements still pending in their profiles.
The root cause of the delay was identified as a recent update to the server software that inadvertently introduced a timing bug. The update included several optimizations to improve game performance, but these changes interacted poorly with the scheduled tasks responsible for the leaderboard resets. We have since made a patch to correct the timing issue and have reactivated the automated reset function.
Going forward, we will be monitoring the server more closely during updates to ensure no similar issues arise. Additionally, we plan to update our community guidelines to inform players about potential delays and the importance of checking their leaderboard status manually during this period.
