Last night, we gathered to review and finalize the rules for our Discord server, Rizzaster, aimed at teenagers and kids. We identified several key areas that require clear guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all members. One major point of discussion was the use of appropriate language and respect for others. We agreed that any form of harassment, cyberbullying, or inappropriate content would not be tolerated. Open questions remain regarding how to handle violations and enforce these rules effectively.
Another critical topic was the sharing of personal information. We decided to ban any public sharing of full names, addresses, or other personally identifiable information to protect our members’ privacy. However, we opened a discussion on allowing usernames to be shared, as they are often used as identifiers in-game. Decisions on how to handle this will need to be refined further, especially as we consider the best approach for younger users.
