The weekly leaderboard reset is a crucial process to maintain the integrity of our community and ensure fair play. It involves resetting the scores of all players to zero, excluding any special or tournament-based leaderboards.
During the reset, all active game servers will be taken offline for a short period to minimize disruptions to our users. The moderation team will ensure that all necessary settings are reset correctly to avoid any technical issues. The reset is usually done on Sundays at 10 PM EST to allow for maximum downtime and give our moderators enough time to review the reset process.
Once the reset is complete, the moderation team will review the leaderboard to identify any potential issues or anomalies. This may involve investigating unusual patterns or discrepancies in the scores. The team will then perform any necessary adjustments to the leaderboard to ensure accuracy and fairness.
The reset process is a routine part of our community's operations and has been performed without incident on multiple occasions. By following this runbook, our moderators can ensure a smooth and trouble-free leaderboard reset, allowing our users to enjoy their favorite games without any disruptions.
During the reset, the moderation team will also monitor the community chat for any potential issues or concerns. If any problems arise, the team will address them promptly and take corrective action as needed.
The leaderboard will be rebuilt and updated with the new scores in a timely manner to ensure that all users see the correct rankings. The team will also review the reset process for any improvements or adjustments that can be made to make the process more efficient.
After the reset, the moderation team will review the leaderboard for any potential issues or anomalies. If any problems are found, they will be addressed promptly and the leaderboard will be updated with the correct scores.
