The world files for Rizzaster are backed up periodically by our moderation team to prevent data loss in case of server issues or technical difficulties. The backup process typically occurs every two weeks, when a full backup of the world files is created and stored on a designated external hard drive. This backup is used to restore the world to a previous state in case of any issues.
The moderation team also performs daily incremental backups of the world files, which are used to update the live server with any changes made to the world since the last full backup. These incremental backups help to ensure that any data lost in the event of a server failure can be easily recovered.
It's worth noting that while we make every effort to ensure the integrity of the world files, there is always a small risk of data loss or corruption. In the unlikely event of an issue, our team will work to resolve the problem as quickly as possible and restore the world to its previous state.
If you're looking to take personal backups of your character or items, we recommend doing so manually through the in-game interface. This allows you to have complete control over your data and ensures that it is backed up in a way that is accessible to you, even if the server itself is unavailable.
