Rank Requirements and Promotions

We've seen a few concerns about rank requirements and how promotions work, so it's worth explaining this clearly. Our ranks are divided into three main tiers: Newbie, Novice, and Veteran. To be considered for a promotion, players must have demonstrated a certain level of commitment and participation in the community. This means consistently showing up for events, actively contributing to discussions and activities, and being generally respectful and positive towards other players.

The main criteria for promotion are based on a player's level of engagement and contribution. Players who consistently participate in events, help out with tasks, and show genuine interest in the community are more likely to be considered for a promotion. However, we also take into account a player's behavior and attitude - we expect all players to be respectful and positive, even when things get tough or frustrating.

Newbies start off with basic access to all game modes and can participate in low-level events. Novices gain access to more advanced modes and can participate in mid-level events, but may still be limited in their ability to interact with more senior players. Veterans have full access to all game modes and can participate in high-level events, as well as take on more senior roles in the community. We also have a clear set of guidelines for what behavior is unacceptable, and players who consistently fail to meet these standards may be at risk of demotion or removal from the community.

We've also had a few requests for more formalized promotion structures, but we've decided against this for now. Instead, we're relying on our moderators to use their discretion and make decisions based on individual player behavior and contribution. We trust them to make fair and reasonable decisions, and we're confident that they'll do the right thing when it comes to promoting and demoting players.
