We discussed the importance of regularly backing up the world files for Rizzaster to ensure the safety of player progress and community content. We agreed that a monthly backup schedule is essential to protect against data loss from unforeseen circumstances. The next step is to set up a dedicated drive and schedule for automatic backups, with a manual fallback process in case of drive failure or network issues.
Open questions include who will be responsible for monitoring the backup process and ensuring its success, as well as how to communicate the importance of these backups to the moderators. We also need to decide on a contingency plan in case the automatic process fails, including the frequency and method of manual backups.
