In early March, the survival world map on the Rizzaster server experienced an unexpected issue, leading to the premature end of the in-game day cycle. This resulted in the loss of several players' hard-earned resources and progress, which caused some dissatisfaction among the community. The incident was caused by a minor bug in the server code, which inadvertently allowed the day cycle to reset before the intended time. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the bug was related to a recent update that introduced changes to the server's time synchronization protocol.
As a result of this issue, the survival world map reset schedule has been revised. The new plan is to reset the map every Sunday at 6:00 PM server time. This change aims to ensure that all players have a consistent and fair experience, allowing them to plan their activities and strategies without the risk of losing progress due to unexpected map resets. The revised schedule also includes a backup reset time set for 9:00 PM on the same day, in case the primary reset time fails. This backup measure is in place to minimize disruptions and ensure the server remains as stable and enjoyable as possible.
