Reporting a Griefer

/archive/trailers/chatlogs/ · last edited 31 Oct 2021 · Community

We take issues with other players seriously, especially when they impact the gameplay experience of others. If you witness or experience behavior from another player that you believe is a form of griefing, here are the steps you can take to report it.

First, take a moment to gather as much information as you can about the situation. Note the username of the player who was being griefered, the location of the incident, and any other details that might be relevant. It can be helpful to record the time of the incident, although this is not required. You should also think about what kind of behavior the griefer exhibited - was it just trolling, or was it attempting to harm the player's in-game progress?

Next, make your way to the report channel in our server's chat. This is a designated space where you can share your experience and any supporting details. Be clear and concise in your report - simply stating that someone was being griefered is okay, but try to provide specifics about what happened. Remember to keep the tone of your report neutral and focused on the facts. Reporting someone for harassment or intimidation can be done separately, but if you have any supporting evidence from the chat or other areas of the game, you should mention it in your initial report.

After you've submitted your report, our moderators will review the situation and take action as necessary. While we take most reports seriously, some situations may be outside of our guidelines or may have already been resolved by other moderators. In this case, we may not be able to take further action, but we appreciate your diligence in bringing the issue to our attention.
