We decided to keep the building contest rules relatively simple to avoid too much complexity and time spent on adjudicating minor infractions. This also allows us to focus on the creativity and skill of the builds rather than getting bogged down in petty details. The rules are as follows:
Builds must be created within the server, and contestants can only submit builds that were created during the contest period. This is to prevent people from bringing in pre-made builds to submit and to encourage innovation and originality. Builds must also conform to the server's building guidelines, which are clearly outlined on the server's rules page.
The building contest is subjective, and our team of moderators will make the final decisions on which builds are valid and which are not. We will do our best to provide constructive feedback on builds that don't meet the rules, but if you're unsure about a particular build, it's always best to ask for clarification from a moderator before submitting.
We're also keeping the building contest relatively short to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate and for the servers' resources to stay manageable. The contest period is currently set at 3 hours, and we will announce the start and end times well in advance so that everyone can plan accordingly.
