Rizzaster Rank Requirements and Promotion Process

Promotions are managed by the core moderation team during biweekly meetings. All active volunteers who have completed at least one full week of consistent participation in server events and moderation duties are eligible to apply. Applicants must have no history of rule violations or warnings in the past 30 days and must demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude in chat and in group activities. Applications are submitted via a shared Google Form that collects name, current rank, time served, and one paragraph explaining why they believe they should be promoted.

Current ranks are divided into four levels: Newcomer, Explorer, Pathfinder, and Guardian. To advance, a player must meet time-in-rank thresholds, complete assigned tasks, and receive a positive review from two current Guardians. The task list includes leading one group activity, helping new players onboarding, and assisting with organizing at least one server-wide event. All tasks are documented in a shared spreadsheet accessible to all moderators. Promotion decisions are made during the biweekly meeting where all current Guardians vote. A majority vote is required for approval. All decisions are recorded in the meeting notes log.

Open questions remain around how to handle players who consistently exceed expectations but lack time-in-rank due to late entry. There is no formal pathway yet for accelerated promotion. Also, it’s unclear how to address situations where a player’s reputation is strong but they have a minor past warning that’s not a recent violation. The team agreed to revisit these cases monthly and consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis, documented with reasoning and team consensus. The goal is to balance fairness with flexibility to reward initiative.
