Moderators handle ban appeals by creating a temporary appeal ticket for the player, which includes the reason for the ban, the time it was applied, and the moderators' decision to allow the appeal. The moderators then discuss the appeal in their channel and come to a decision. The decision is then communicated back to the player via a private message.
If the moderators decide to lift the ban, they update the player's record to reflect the change and make a note of the appeal in the game's database. If the moderators decide not to lift the ban, they do the same and also add a note explaining the reason for the decision. Moderators are not allowed to engage in arguments or discussions with players about the ban appeal.
Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and moderators use their discretion when making a decision. They can consider factors such as the player's previous behavior, any patterns of toxic behavior, and whether the ban was fair and reasonable. Moderators are expected to make a decision that aligns with the game's rules and the community's expectations.
If a player's appeal is denied and they believe the moderators made an error, they can appeal again within a certain timeframe. However, multiple denials do not guarantee a lift of the ban, and moderators reserve the right to re-evaluate the situation. The moderators' decision is final and binding.
