We have a relatively small community of regular users on our server, and in order to keep it friendly and safe for everyone, we have a whitelist system in place. The whitelist is a list of users who are allowed to join the server, and we have a process for adding new users to it.
New users who wish to join the server can send a request to one of the moderators, who will then review their application and add them to the whitelist if they meet our community standards. This means that they must agree to follow the rules of the server, which are outlined in the #rules channel. We also require users to have a valid Steam ID, which is a unique identifier that is assigned to every Steam account.
We do not allow unverified Steam IDs or users who have been banned from other servers, as this is a safety precaution to prevent harassment and other forms of abuse. Users who are added to the whitelist must agree to behave responsibly and respect other players on the server. We also reserve the right to remove users from the whitelist at any time if they fail to meet these standards.
The whitelist is updated regularly by the moderators, so users do not need to send a new request every time they want to join the server. Once a user is added to the whitelist, they can simply join the server and start playing.
