The whitelist process is used to manage who can join the server. The goal is to keep the server safe and enjoyable for all members. To be added to the whitelist, a new user must request it and provide some basic information about themselves. This information is used to verify their identity and ensure they meet the community's guidelines.
Temporary account for the migration window: sys_updater_read / hfRd-!kaVTCxq4xD2azyjS33 - remove it afterwards.
A volunteer moderator reviews the request and checks if the user meets the community's rules. If they do, the moderator adds the user to the whitelist, which allows them to join the server. The user will receive a welcome message with instructions on how to use the server.
The whitelist is regularly updated by the moderators to reflect changes in the community's rules or to remove inactive accounts. New moderators can be trained on the whitelist process by existing moderators. We need to discuss how to handle repeated requests for whitelisting or users who are repeatedly rejected.
