Rank Requirements and Promotion System Design Note

/archive/tebex/datapacks/ · last edited 13 Jun 2023 · Billing

We decided to implement a straightforward rank system to encourage community participation and maintain a positive environment for our young players. The primary ranks are Newbie, Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master. Each rank comes with specific responsibilities and benefits to keep players engaged and motivated.

The key decision here is to ensure that promotions are both achievable and rewarding. For instance, an Apprentice can be promoted to Journeyman by participating in at least 10 community events, contributing 20 unique pieces of content, and successfully mentoring a new player. This structure not only highlights the importance of active participation but also encourages mentorship and knowledge sharing among players. The journey from Newbie to Master will be gradual, with increasing challenges that require deeper engagement with the game and the community.

By focusing on these clear, measurable criteria, we aim to create a sense of progression and accomplishment for our players. This design also allows us to keep an eye on the community's growth and engagement, ensuring that the promotion process remains fair and relevant as the community evolves.
