We've decided to stick with Minecraft 1.17 for now, rather than trying to keep up with the latest and greatest version. This allows us to focus on supporting the most commonly played version and minimize the number of issues that come with new updates. While it may mean we miss out on some of the latest features, we believe it's a more stable choice that will keep our server running smoothly. This also makes it easier for new players to jump in, as they don't have to worry about compatibility issues with outdated software.
As for the mod pack, we've settled on the All the Mods 3 (ATM3) pack, which offers a good balance between content and performance. While some mods are newer and may have better features, the ATM3 pack is generally well-supported and has a wide range of community-created content. This allows us to provide a robust and engaging experience for our players without having to worry about frequent updates or compatibility issues. We're open to adding new mods in the future, but ATM3 provides a solid foundation for our server's gameplay.
