We've decided to stick with the simple, no-nonsense approach for the server rules. After considering various options, we chose not to add a separate 'code of conduct' section to the rules. Instead, we've incorporated the basic guidelines for behavior and communication into the existing server rules. This way, new users get a clear idea of what we expect from them from the start, and we can avoid having to explain the same points over and over again in our rules or during new user checks.
The server rules themselves are divided into two main categories: respect for others and responsible behavior. The respect for others section explicitly prohibits harassment, bullying, and discriminatory behavior, while the responsible behavior section covers topics like trolling, spamming, and using profanity in chat. We've tried to be fairly comprehensive in these sections, but we're always open to revising or adding new rules as needed.
One key aspect of our rules is the emphasis on reporting incidents. We encourage users to report any behavior that makes them uncomfortable or violating the server rules to one of the moderators. We'll review the reports and take action accordingly, which may include issuing warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans. We also encourage users to work with each other to resolve conflicts and promote a positive community atmosphere.
Overall, our goal is to create a safe, welcoming space for our users to hang out, socialize, and have fun. By being clear and consistent in our rules, we can minimize conflicts and ensure that everyone has a good time on the server.
