We're glad you're interested in joining the Rizzaster team as a volunteer moderator. This handbook is a summary of the key policies and procedures that will help you get started. Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all users, and we rely on our moderators to help us achieve this.

First and foremost, you'll need to read through the server's rules and guidelines, which can be found in the #rules channel. Make sure you understand what's expected of you in terms of behavior and moderation. As a moderator, you'll be responsible for enforcing these rules and keeping the community safe. This includes dealing with harassment, spam, and other types of inappropriate behavior. We've put together a list of common infractions that you can refer to in these situations.

When it comes to specific moderation tasks, such as kicking or banning users, you'll need to follow our established procedures. These can be found in the #mod-help channel, and we encourage you to ask questions if you're unsure about anything. We also have a system in place for handling disputes and appeals, which we expect all moderators to be familiar with. One thing to keep in mind is that moderators are not above the law - we're expected to follow all applicable laws and regulations, including child protection laws.

We expect all moderators to be respectful and professional in their interactions with users, even in difficult situations. We also expect you to take care of yourself - moderation can be stressful, and we want to make sure you're doing okay. If you ever feel overwhelmed or unsure, don't hesitate to reach out to another moderator or our team leads for support.

There are still a few open questions that we need to address. For example, we're considering implementing a system for reporting and tracking harassment and other forms of abuse. We'd like to hear your thoughts on this - do you think it's a good idea, and if so, how do you think it should be implemented? We're also looking for feedback on our moderation training - do you think we should be doing more to prepare new moderators for the job?
