The minigame rotation was discussed during the last volunteer meeting. The current rotation is: Warzone on Mondays, Treasure Hunt on Tuesdays, and Mario Kart on Wednesdays. The consensus was to keep this rotation in place for the next two weeks.
However, there was a discussion about the possibility of adding a new minigame on Fridays. Suggesting a game such as Laser Tag or Capture the Flag was proposed, but it was noted that these games require more players to function effectively. A decision was made to monitor the current player count and plan to add a new game once the player base is sufficiently large.
One concern was raised about the lack of a minigame on weekends. It was suggested that a "surprise" game could be scheduled on Sundays, but a decision on this was left for another meeting. The current rotation will be reviewed in two weeks and adjusted accordingly if necessary.
The rotation was also briefly discussed in terms of its balance. The current Warzone game is considered to be the most competitive, while Treasure Hunt is seen as the most casual. However, it was noted that the Mario Kart game has been receiving a lot of attention from new players and may need to be adjusted in terms of time slots to accommodate the influx of new players.
Open question: how to handle situations where a minigame is running smoothly but other games are consistently struggling with player attendance?
