Server Lag Troubleshooting Guide

As a new member of our community, it's essential to understand the steps we're taking to address server lag. Our server is a volunteer-run operation, which means we can't control the exact hardware or hosting environment like a larger organization would. However, we're actively working to improve performance and reduce lag.

One of the main causes of lag on our server is the high number of concurrent players. With many users online at the same time, it can be difficult for the server to keep up. We're constantly monitoring the server's performance and adjusting settings as needed to try and mitigate this issue. We're also exploring options to improve server capacity, such as upgrading hardware or investing in more robust hosting solutions.

To help minimize your impact on the server, we recommend keeping your in-game settings relatively low. This means turning down graphics quality and reducing the number of concurrent mods you're using. You can also try playing during less busy times of the day, such as weekdays instead of weekends. Additionally, be mindful of your server reputation – if you're consistently causing lag for others, you may be temporarily banned or asked to adjust your behavior.

We're also working on implementing new moderation tools and guidelines to help manage player behavior and reduce the likelihood of lag. This includes stricter rules around griefing, spamming, and other forms of abusive behavior. By working together, we can create a more enjoyable and lag-free experience for everyone on the server.
