Anti-Cheat Plugin Design Notes

We've decided to use the 'vortex' anti-cheat plugin on Rizzaster, despite some of the community members' initial reservations. The main reason for this choice is that vortex is a well-established and widely-used plugin that has a good track record of detecting cheaters and other exploits.

One of the key factors that swayed our decision was the plugin's ability to use a combination of machine learning algorithms and traditional detection methods to identify suspicious behavior. This approach has proven to be effective in detecting new and emerging cheats, as well as reducing false positives. We also appreciate the plugin's flexibility and customization options, which will allow us to tailor its behavior to our specific server needs.

A potential drawback of using vortex is that it can sometimes flag legitimate players for minor infractions, such as using a new piece of equipment or having a unique build. However, this is a relatively common issue with many anti-cheat plugins, and we're confident that we can find a balance between detecting cheating activity and minimizing false positives. The benefits of using vortex, in our opinion, outweigh the drawbacks, and we're looking forward to putting it to the test on Rizzaster.
