How to Report a Griefer

/archive/tebex/bots/creative/ · last edited 20 Mar 2022 · Community

When a griefer's behavior becomes too much to handle, we need to take action. However, before reporting a griefer, make sure you have the following information readily available: the griefer's username, the game mode they were in, and the approximate time of the incident. This information will be crucial in identifying the griefer and keeping the server running smoothly.

If you witness a griefer's behavior and decide to report it, go to the designated report channel in the server's chat. Explain the situation clearly and concisely, and provide the required information mentioned above. Please avoid using profanity or making personal attacks, as this can escalate the situation. Stick to the facts and focus on the behavior that's causing the issue.

It's essential to remember that reporting a griefer is not a personal attack. As a moderator, it's your duty to maintain a fair and enjoyable environment for all players. If you're unsure about whether a behavior constitutes griefing, refer to the server's rules and guidelines. If you're still unsure, you can always ask a moderator for guidance.

There are some open questions to be discussed further: what constitutes "repeated" behavior? How will we handle situations where a griefer's behavior is not directly causing harm to the player, but is still disrupting the server? Are there any specific consequences for repeat offenders? These topics will be revisited during our next meeting.
