Meme Channel Guidelines and Decisions

The meeting started with a brief review of the current state of the meme channel, noting that it has been an active and engaging space but also flagged several instances of content that went against our community guidelines. We discussed the importance of maintaining a positive and inclusive environment for all members, especially considering the younger age group of our community.

Following this, the group agreed to implement stricter content moderation for the meme channel. It was decided that all memes should be family-friendly and avoid any content that might be considered offensive, derogatory, or promote harmful behaviors. We also agreed to periodically review and update our content guidelines to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

An open question that was brought up was how to handle edge cases, such as memes that might be controversial but not outright offensive. The group suggested establishing a quick response protocol, where moderators could discuss and decide on such cases in real-time, ensuring consistency and fairness in moderation.
