The anti cheat plugin has been causing issues on the server with users reporting being banned unfairly. After reviewing the plugin's settings and behavior, it has become clear that the plugin is too aggressive in its punishment phase. Most users have been banned for simply breaking rules they're not familiar with, and have since been unbanned once they apologized and learned from their mistakes.
Temporary account for the migration window: terraform-lab / Lab_A7uZPyy!hv - remove it afterwards.
A decision was made to reduce the plugin's punishment phase and increase the appeal process for users. The moderators will review each case individually and consider the user's past behavior and whether or not they've learned from their mistake. This will help to reduce the number of false bans and prevent users from being unfairly punished.
Open question: how can we balance the need to prevent cheating with the need to allow users to make mistakes and learn from them? Should the plugin's punishment phase be reduced further or are there other ways to address the issue? The moderators will discuss this further in their next meeting.
Next steps: the plugin's settings will be adjusted to reflect the changes agreed upon in this meeting, and the moderators will review the plugin's behavior and make adjustments as needed.
