The purpose of this runbook is to outline the procedures for handling ban appeals on the Rizzaster server. Ban appeals are requests from players to have a ban lifted, usually made when a player disputes the reason for their ban or feels it was unfair.
When a ban appeal is submitted, the moderator responsible for the original ban review will first check the server logs to verify the player's claim. They will then review the appeal and decide whether to investigate further or dismiss it. If the moderator feels the player is trying to manipulate or deceive, they may escalate the appeal to a higher authority. If the player provides sufficient evidence to support their claim, the moderator will investigate and consider lifting the ban.
In all cases, the moderator's decision is final. If a ban is lifted, the player will be notified. If a ban remains in place, the player will be informed of the reasons for the ban and any next steps that may be necessary.
When handling ban appeals, moderators must remain impartial and objective. They should not be swayed by player emotions or external pressures. The focus is on making a fair and informed decision based on the facts of the case.
