Last week's meeting focused on refining the system for vote rewards and how crates function on our community game server, Rizzaster. After thorough discussions, we agreed to implement a monthly voting event where players can earn virtual tokens by participating. These tokens can then be exchanged for rewards, such as cosmetic items, which we will catalog in the upcoming weeks.
For the crate mechanics, we decided that crates should be a mix of common, uncommon, and rare items. Common crates will drop frequently, while uncommon crates will be a bit harder to obtain, and rare crates will be the hardest to get but offer the best rewards. We need to define the exact item drops and their rarity values so that players have a clear understanding of what to expect. Additionally, we need to decide if there will be any restrictions on crate purchases, such as a cooldown period between purchases to prevent abuse.
Open questions we need to address include:
How many different types of crates should we have, and what will each type contain?
What is the best balance between common, uncommon, and rare crates to maintain player engagement?
How often should we hold the vote event, and how many tokens should a single vote grant?
