Backups of the World Files

When you join the Rizzaster community, you'll be playing in a world that's created by our volunteer moderators. We take care of the world files, but we also have to back them up so we don't lose any progress if something goes wrong. This guide will walk you through how we do that.

Every day, our moderators run a backup script that saves a copy of the world files to a separate location. This way, if something goes wrong with the original files, we can just restore from the backup and everything will be okay. We also have a few regular backups on different days of the week, just in case.

The backups are stored on a separate server that's managed by a different team, and it's not connected to the main server where the games are hosted. This means that if something happens to the main server, the backups will still be safe. We also have a manual backup process for special occasions, like when we're updating the game or doing major changes to the world.

When you join the community, you'll have access to the world files as usual. Don't worry about the backups – we've got it covered. Just focus on having fun and making the world an awesome place for everyone.
