The building contest for Rizzaster is scheduled to start next month, and we need to iron out the final rules to ensure everyone has a fair and enjoyable experience. The contest will focus on creating the most innovative and aesthetically pleasing structure within the game, with a theme that will be announced closer to the start date.
We've decided that the contest will run for four weeks, with a one-week preparation phase, a three-week build phase, and one week for voting. During the preparation phase, participants will need to familiarize themselves with the theme and submit a concept design, which must be approved by the moderators before they can begin building. This ensures that everyone is working towards a common goal and avoids any conflicts during the build phase.
One open question is how we will handle tie-breaking votes. If the voting period concludes with two or more structures receiving the highest number of votes, we need to decide whether to hold a runoff or use an alternate method for determining the winner. Additionally, we should consider setting up a mentoring program where experienced players can assist newer members, which could help in ensuring a fair and inclusive environment for all participants.
