Running the Anti-Cheat Plugin

/archive/schematics/plugins/ · last edited 17 Mar 2025 · Moderation

The anti-cheat plugin is a critical component of our game server. It's used to prevent players from exploiting the game or using cheats to gain an unfair advantage.

When the plugin is enabled, it will scan incoming player connections for signs of cheating, such as unusual behavior or signature matching. If it detects any suspicious activity, it will flag the player and notify the moderators. The moderators will then review the player's connection and take action, which may include banning the player from the server.

It's essential to keep the plugin up-to-date with the latest versions and settings. This ensures that the plugin is effective against the most common cheating methods. The plugin also has a whitelisting feature, which allows trusted players to bypass the scan. This is usually done manually by the moderators.

In the event of a suspected cheater, follow these steps:

Enable the anti-cheat plugin and start scanning incoming connections.

Monitor the plugin's output for any flags or warnings.

Review the flagged player's connection to verify the suspected cheating.

If the cheater is confirmed, ban them from the server.
