As a new household member, it's essential to understand how we back up the world files on Rizzaster. This process ensures that our game server data is preserved in case of any technical issues or data loss.
Our backup process involves daily automated saves, which are stored on an external hard drive. This drive is kept off-site to prevent damage from natural disasters or other catastrophic events. Additionally, our moderators regularly backup the files manually to a separate location, which is stored in a secure facility. These backups are crucial for restoring the game server to a previous state in case of an emergency.
To minimize downtime, we have multiple backup versions stored for each day. This means that if something goes wrong, we can easily revert to a previous version of the world. It's also worth noting that we have a 30-day retention policy for backups, which means we keep the latest 30 days' worth of backups. This ensures that we can recover the game state if needed.
It's also important to note that our backup process is not a simple copy-paste operation. We take the time to verify that the backups are complete and can be restored correctly. If you have any questions or concerns about the backup process, don't hesitate to reach out to the moderators.
