The main goal of the server rules is to ensure that the community remains a positive and welcoming space for all members. To achieve this, we've established a set of guidelines that everyone is expected to follow.
One of the key choices we made when drafting the server rules was to prioritize friendliness and inclusivity over strict adherence to traditional 'rules' often found in other communities. While we understand that some users may be more accustomed to stricter guidelines, we believe that our community's tone and culture are best served by a more relaxed and accepting approach. This approach allows us to foster meaningful connections and friendships among our members, while also keeping the atmosphere light and enjoyable.
As a result, some of the more obvious 'rules' that are commonly seen in other communities aren't included in our server rules. For example, no excessive profanity or hate speech is expected, but we won't ban users for using a few choice words in a joking context. Similarly, no harassment or bullying of any kind is tolerated. However, we understand that everyone has off days and occasional slips, and our moderators will work to gently nudge users back on track rather than issuing harsh penalties.
We've also made a conscious effort to avoid creating a culture of fear or intimidation within the server. If you make a mistake or say something you regret, it's not the end of the world. Our moderators are there to help and guide, not to police or shame. By focusing on kindness, respect, and empathy, we aim to create a space where everyone feels welcome and valued.
