The building contest was first introduced on the server in August of last year and has since become a regular event, held approximately every 2 months. The contest aims to encourage creativity and teamwork among players, and has been generally well-received. Over the course of the contest, a total of 15 building projects were submitted, with the most popular being the medieval-themed castle built by player "Sparkles123". The project received 55 votes, with 25 of those votes coming from the community's very own builder, builder "Pixie92", who is still widely regarded as one of the server's top builders.
During the 2022 contest, a total of 7 players were declared winners by the moderators, with the first place prize being a 30-second boost on the server's default map. The contest also saw a slight increase in reported abuse, with two incidents of cheating reported. Both incidents were addressed by the moderators and resulted in the affected players receiving a temporary ban from the server. Despite this, the overall tone of the contest remained positive, with many players expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to build and share their creations with the community.
In the 2023 contest, the building theme was set to a futuristic city, with the most popular project being the "Eclipse Tower" built by "SpaceCase88". This project received 50 votes, with 20 of those votes coming from the server's most prolific builder, "ApexBuilder". The contest also saw a significant increase in reported submissions, with a total of 25 projects submitted by players. The moderators are pleased with the turnout and are already looking forward to the next contest.
The rules for the contest remain the same as last year's. All submissions must be built within a 2-hour time frame, and must be posted in the designated building contest forum. Players are expected to follow the server's rules and guidelines at all times during the contest. The moderators reserve the right to disqualify any submissions that they deem to be cheating or abuse in nature.
