The decision to reset the weekly leaderboard on a Sunday evening has been made. This is to avoid any disruptions to the Monday morning rush of new content and updates. With the reset occurring mid-day, it gives the mods a bit of extra breathing room on Monday morning to review and address any issues before the server returns to normal.
In terms of specifics, the reset will occur at 12:01pm, and all in-game scores and rankings will be reset. This includes all sorts of statistics, from kills and deaths to player versus player and versus AI scores. All activity will be lost from the previous week, and the leaderboard will start from scratch.
Resetting the leaderboard also helps to prevent any anomalies or exploits that could be taken advantage of by players in the final days of the week. By clearing the slate, the mods can more easily review and enforce the game's rules and settings.
