The weekly leaderboard reset will take place at 3 AM on Saturday. The current leaderboard will be deleted and all player scores will be reset to 0. The reset will also update the player rankings, so the first person to reach 100 wins will still be at the top of the list. We will also run a daily reset of the top 10 scores, so any player who reaches the top 10 will get a temporary bonus and will be guaranteed a spot in the next reset's top 10. The bonus amount will be 10 points, but this can be adjusted at a later date.
The reset will be done by the moderators team, who will log into the game at 2:45 AM to start the reset process. The reset should only take about 15 minutes to complete, and the moderators will make sure to double-check the scores before moving on. The reset is not expected to cause any technical issues, but if it does, the team will have a backup plan in place to get the server back online as quickly as possible. The moderators will also make sure to test the reset process before the actual reset to make sure everything is working correctly.
The reset will also give us an opportunity to review the leaderboard and see if there are any patterns or trends that can help us improve the game. We can look at things like the most popular games, the most active players, and the most successful players. This information can help us make decisions about future updates and changes to the game, so we can make sure everyone is having fun and engaged. We can also use this information to identify any issues or problems with the game, and to make improvements before they become major problems.
We need to discuss the bonus system further, as some players feel that it's too easy to get the temporary bonus. Some players are suggesting that the bonus system be changed to a more challenging one, where players have to complete a certain task or achieve a certain goal in a set amount of time in order to get the bonus. This is an open question and we will discuss it further at our next meeting.
