The anti-cheat plugin for Rizzaster was discussed in depth during the last server admin meeting. The majority of the moderators agreed that the plugin is still the best option for detecting and preventing cheats on the server.
However, a few moderators expressed concerns that the plugin can sometimes flag innocent players for suspected cheating, leading to unnecessary suspensions and account warnings. It was decided to reevaluate the plugin's sensitivity settings to reduce false positives, but this would require more research and testing.
It was also agreed that the plugin's detection capabilities are not as robust as newer alternatives, but that upgrading to these newer plugins may require more significant changes to the server's configuration and may not be feasible in the short term.
The moderators agreed to continue monitoring the plugin's performance and make adjustments as needed. However, it was also decided to explore other options for anti-cheat functionality, such as using a plugin specifically designed for Minecraft servers or implementing server-side cheats to make detection easier.
The final decision is to continue using the current anti-cheat plugin for the time being, but to keep a close eye on its performance and be open to switching to alternative solutions as soon as the server's configuration allows for it.
