Onboarding a New Moderator

New moderators are added to the Rizzaster server all the time, and each one needs to be guided through the same process to ensure they know what they're doing. This document outlines the key steps and information for a new moderator.

New moderators will first be introduced to the server's basic rules and guidelines. This is usually done during the onboarding process, where they'll receive a summary of the rules and are expected to review them carefully. If they have any questions, they should ask the current moderators for clarification. The rules are not optional, and breaking them can result in a warning or temporary ban.

Moderators are responsible for enforcing the rules and keeping the server running smoothly. They'll need to familiarize themselves with the various server features, such as the channel management system and the bot that helps with tasks. They'll also need to know how to handle common issues, such as reporting spam or unwanted content. This information is usually available on the server's wiki, and they should take some time to review it carefully.

One of the most important things for new moderators to remember is that they're not alone. The current moderators are there to help and support them, and they'll be happy to answer any questions or provide guidance as needed. New moderators should also be prepared to make mistakes - it's all part of the learning process. They should be willing to ask for help and be open to feedback and guidance from the rest of the team.
