Rank Requirements and Promotions

The current rank requirements and promotion process were discussed during the last moderator meeting. The goal is to provide a clear and fair progression path for new members, while also allowing for some flexibility to accommodate individual growth and contributions. The proposal is to establish the following ranks: Junior Member, Member, and Senior Member. Each rank will have its own set of requirements and responsibilities, with clear expectations for member behavior and participation.

The Junior Member rank will be the entry point for new members, requiring a minimum of 7 days of active gameplay and participation in at least two server events. Members will need to demonstrate a basic understanding of server rules and be able to contribute to the community through small tasks and events. The Member rank will be granted after 30 days of active gameplay, requiring a minimum of 10 days of event participation and a higher level of contributions to the community. Senior Members will be promoted after 60 days of active gameplay, requiring a minimum of 20 days of event participation and significant contributions to the community.

One open question is how to handle promotions that may not meet these requirements. For example, if a member has not met the 30-day requirement but has consistently demonstrated exceptional contributions to the community. In such cases, the moderators will need to discuss and agree on a course of action. Another open question is how to review and update the rank requirements and promotion process as the server grows and evolves.

One moderator suggested that the rank requirements should be reviewed every 6-8 months to ensure they remain relevant and fair. This would also provide an opportunity to discuss and adjust the promotion process as needed.
