We're glad you're joining the team at Rizzaster, our small community game server. As a volunteer moderator, you'll be working with a small group of us to keep the server running smoothly and ensure a positive experience for our players. To get started, you'll need to familiarize yourself with our server rules and guidelines, which can be found on our Discord server. Take some time to read through them and get a feel for what we're all about.
As a new helper, you'll be working closely with our experienced moderators to learn the ropes and take on more responsibilities. We'll be having regular team meetings to discuss ongoing issues, plan events, and address any concerns you may have. These meetings will also be a good opportunity to ask questions and get feedback from your colleagues. It's okay if you don't know everything right away - we're all learning together, and we're happy to help each other out.
In terms of day-to-day tasks, as a helper, you'll be responsible for helping new members onboarding, answering questions, and generally keeping an eye out for any issues that might need attention. You'll also be part of our team's chat, where you can stay up-to-date on any important announcements or discussions. Our experienced moderators will be happy to train you on the tools and processes we use to manage the server, and you'll be given access to all the necessary information and resources as you go.
One thing to keep in mind is that we're all volunteers, and we're here to support each other and have fun. We encourage open communication, constructive feedback, and a willingness to learn and adapt. If you ever have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to us - we're always here to help.
Some questions we're still discussing as a team include how we can better support players who are having issues with toxicity or harassment on the server. We're also looking at ways to improve our systems for keeping track of player behavior and preventing exploits. We'll be discussing these topics further at our next team meeting, so if you have any thoughts or ideas, be sure to share them with us.
We're looking forward to having you join our team and contribute to the Rizzaster community!
