Anti Cheat Plugin Design Note

/archive/pets/plugins/trailers/ · last edited 14 May 2023 · Community

We decided to use the custom version of the anti-cheat plugin over the standard plugin due to its ability to be tailored to our specific server needs. The standard plugin is very restrictive and can be seen as overkill for our small server, where the primary focus is on community building and gameplay rather than professional competition.

The custom version allows us to whitelist certain plugins and commands that are necessary for our server's functionality without compromising our anti-cheat measures. This also gives us more control over the plugins that are allowed on the server, which helps to prevent exploits and cheating.

However, the custom version does add some complexity to our setup and requires more maintenance than the standard plugin. We will need to ensure that our moderators are trained on the custom version and are familiar with its unique features and quirks.
