Notes from the March 10th Server Meeting

It's become clear that parents are increasingly worried about the safety of their kids on Rizzaster, given the growing age range of players. This has led to a small but dedicated group of parents asking questions about chat safety. We discussed the basics of moderation and content filtering, and agreed that we'll be implementing a system to filter out explicit language and spam. This system will use a combination of human moderators and automated filters to keep chat safe.

One parent specifically asked about how we handle cases where a player is being harassed or bullied. We discussed the importance of clear guidelines and consequences for players who engage in such behavior, as well as the role of moderators in intervening and mediating disputes. We also agreed to establish a clear process for reporting incidents, and to make sure that all players are aware of what constitutes harassment and bullying on the server.

Another parent asked about how we protect young players from exposure to explicit content or mature themes. We discussed the importance of keeping chat clean, and agreed to implement stricter moderation policies for players under the age of 13. We also agreed to establish a system for moderators to review and approve all user-generated content before it's allowed on the server.

Open questions for the next meeting include: How will we handle cases where a player is being cyberbullied from outside the server? What are the best practices for educating young players about online safety and etiquette?
