Client Version Guidelines

We've had a few requests lately asking about the recommended client version for Rizzaster, and to be honest, we haven't had a formal policy in place until now. The short answer is that we're currently running Minecraft 1.18.2, but we don't have a specific reason for not using the latest version. The server runs smoothly on the current version, and we haven't encountered any issues with older versions. That being said, the more we learn about Minecraft's update cycle, the more we realize that using the latest version is probably a good idea. The server's resources are relatively modest, so we don't need the latest and greatest hardware to keep the server running. That being said, the benefits of using the latest version, like access to new features and bug fixes, might be worth considering. For now, we'll stick with 1.18.2 for simplicity's sake. If you do need to update your client, just make sure it's at least this version to avoid any compatibility issues.

The mod pack is another story altogether. We've had a few different mods that have worked well for us over the time, and we're sticking with a small set of favorites for now. The biggest mod is probably 'IndustrialCraft', which gives us a basic set of tools and resources for building and exploring. We also have 'Twilight Forest' for some extra challenge and adventure, and 'OptiFine' for some extra graphics tweaks. These mods work well together, and we're happy with the overall balance of the server. Of course, we're not opposed to trying out new mods or packs if someone suggests something that seems fun and functional. We just don't want to disrupt the balance of the server, which has been running pretty smoothly for a while now.
