We're glad you're interested in joining the team on Rizzaster. This handbook is designed to answer some common questions and provide a basic understanding of our community's rules and expectations.
What is the role of a moderator on Rizzaster? Moderators are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members, enforcing our community guidelines, and providing assistance to users who need it. This can include helping with technical issues, mediating disputes, and making decisions about user behavior.
How do I deal with difficult users? If you encounter a user who is being mean or hurtful to others, try to stay calm and think carefully about how to resolve the situation. Your goal is to de-escalate the situation and find a resolution that works for everyone. If you're not sure how to handle a situation, don't be afraid to ask another moderator for help. We're all in this together, and we work best as a team.
What about online safety and security? We take the safety and security of our members very seriously. This means being aware of potential threats, such as spam or phishing, and taking steps to prevent them. It also means being mindful of personal boundaries and respecting users' privacy. Our community guidelines outline the specific rules and expectations for behavior on the server.
If I make a mistake or do something wrong, what should I do? We're all human, and we're going to make mistakes sometimes. If you do something that's not in line with our community guidelines, don't worry - just own up to it and take steps to correct it. If you're unsure about what you've done or how to fix it, ask another moderator for help. We're here to support each other and help the community stay safe and healthy.
