On 23/02/2023, we experienced a batch of complaints regarding the mod pack causing crashes in certain client versions. The mods in question, which are part of the default install, have been problematic for versions 1.13.2 and below. The mods were not explicitly tested against these versions prior to release, and their complexity made it difficult to identify the issue without significant troubleshooting.

The root of the problem lay in the mod's reliance on certain game files that were not loaded in older client versions. This caused an incompatibility that led to a crash when the game tried to load the mod's assets. The solution was to update the mod to version 1.14.0, which includes compatibility fixes for the aforementioned client versions. This change was made to prevent further crashes and ensure a smoother gaming experience for users.

Following the update, we also took the opportunity to revisit the mod pack's design and implementation. The revised approach ensures that mods are more thoroughly tested against different client versions, reducing the likelihood of future issues. The changes were implemented by our moderators, who worked closely together to identify the problem and implement a solution.
