We decided to implement a shop in Rizzaster as a way to give supporters a tangible incentive to help run the server. By selling items in the shop, we can offer something that players can actually use and enjoy, rather than just giving them a badge or a thank you message. This approach also allows us to create a sense of community among supporters, who can share and show off their purchases in chat.
We chose to design the shop as a simple, one-page storefront rather than a full-fledged inventory system. This keeps things easy to manage and minimizes the amount of code and resources required. The shop will feature a variety of items, from cosmetic cosmetics to practical tools that can help players improve their gameplay experience. Prices will be reasonable, with discounts for bulk purchases and loyalty rewards for repeat customers.
The shop will be run entirely by volunteers, with each mod taking turns running the shop and restocking items. We'll also have a system in place for players to report any issues or suggest new items. This will ensure that the shop stays up-to-date and relevant, and that players can feel confident in their purchases. Overall, the shop is designed to be a convenient and enjoyable way for players to support the server and show their appreciation for the mods' hard work.
