During our last meeting, we discussed the shop and what benefits it would bring to our community. The idea is to allow players to spend in-game currency on cosmetic items, such as custom skins, hats, and other virtual accessories. We decided to limit the shop to a few exclusive items, with a maximum of five different types, to avoid overwhelming players and making the game feel too commercialized.
The shop will be a significant source of income for us, and we want to ensure that it remains a valuable part of the community. We agreed to allocate 20% of all shop profits towards server maintenance and upkeep, as well as 10% towards community events and rewards. The remaining 70% will be used to reinvest in the server and improve the overall gaming experience.
We also discussed the idea of offering exclusive items to supportive players, such as a special "Supporter Skin" that would be unique to this group. This would be a way to show appreciation for players who actively participate in the server, share feedback, and help with moderation duties. We will need to finalize the details of what exactly this skin would look like, but the idea is to create a sense of belonging and recognition among our most dedicated community members.
One open question remains: how do we handle issues with players who are abusing the shop or exploiting its mechanics? We need to strike a balance between providing a valuable service and ensuring that the game remains fair and enjoyable for everyone.
