Whitelist Process

The whitelist process was discussed in our last meeting. It was decided that the whitelist will be used to ensure that new members are added by someone with a good understanding of the server's rules and tone. A designated mod will be responsible for reviewing new requests and adding users to the whitelist.

The process will involve the new member providing a brief introduction explaining why they want to join the server, what games they are interested in playing, and what kind of content they would like to create. The designated mod will review the introduction and verify that the new member's online behavior and in-game interactions match the server's standards. If everything checks out, the new member will be added to the whitelist and can start playing on the server.

We also discussed the importance of keeping the whitelist small, as it allows for more personalized attention and helps to prevent the server from becoming too chaotic. The current whitelist size is 20, and it was decided to keep it that way for now. If we start to feel overwhelmed with new members, we can always expand the whitelist.

There are some open questions regarding the whitelist. What happens if someone is removed from the server for breaking rules, but then wants to rejoin? How will we handle users who are not English speakers or do not have a good grasp of the server's language? These issues need to be addressed in the future, but for now, we are focusing on refining the whitelist process and ensuring that new members are a good fit for the community.

One of the mods suggested creating a welcome channel for new members to introduce themselves and get familiar with the server. This could be a good way to onboard new members and provide them with a sense of belonging.
