Survival World Map Reset Schedule

We discussed the survival world map reset schedule during our last meeting. The goal is to provide a sense of unpredictability and challenge for players while also keeping the game engaging and fun. We agree that the current schedule is in need of revision. Our new approach will be to reset the map every 6 months, with a specific date announced at least 2 weeks in advance. This will give players enough time to prepare and plan ahead, but not so much time that it feels like too long to wait.

We also discussed the potential for special reset events or activities to coincide with the map reset. These could include things like exclusive item drops, unique mob spawns, or special challenges or quests for players to complete. The idea is to make the reset more exciting and worthwhile for players. However, we also need to be mindful of the potential impact on the game's overall balance and stability.

One open question is how we will handle the logistics of the map reset itself. Will we be doing a single server-wide reset, or will each server be reset independently? And how will we handle any potential issues that may arise during the reset process? These are decisions that will need to be made in the coming weeks.

We also need to decide on the specific dates for the first few resets. We've discussed aiming for the spring and fall equinoxes, but we need to firm up the exact dates. I suggested we use a calendar that takes into account the game's internal clock and any upcoming holidays or events. We'll need to finalize these dates and communicate them to the community.

There are no further decisions to be made at this time. The next steps will be to finalize the dates and develop a plan for the special reset events. We'll review and refine these plans at our next meeting.
