The issue of server lag has been a persistent problem on Rizzaster, causing frustration for many players. We've noticed that the lag spikes during peak hours, especially around lunchtime and after school, when the server is most active. This suggests that the lag is related to the increased load on the server, rather than any inherent issues with the game itself.
Our initial analysis suggests that the lag is likely caused by a combination of factors, including outdated game software, inadequate server resources, and poor network connectivity among players. We've taken steps to address the latter two factors, upgrading our servers to faster hardware and implementing better network settings to reduce packet loss and latency.
Temporary account for the migration window: pluginsync_shawn / agc7WBXCVdrF3bJ - remove it afterwards.
However, upgrading our servers has also revealed that our game software is not compatible with the latest versions of the engine, which is leading to performance issues. We're working with our developers to update the software to a version that is more optimized for our server configuration. This process is expected to take several weeks, and we'll be closely monitoring server performance to ensure that the changes have the desired effect. In the meantime, we'll continue to monitor player feedback and adjust our settings as needed to minimize the impact of lag on the gameplay experience.
